National's History

The Antique And Classic Car Club Of Canada began in 1956, and the name was adopted in 1958. The Club was incorporated on May 15, 1963.  The ACCCC's purpose is to further the interest in and the knowledge of historic, antique and classic vehicles 20 years and older as manufactured, not obviously altered.  We enthusiastically encourage the ownership, restoration, and preservation of these vehicles. Ownership of an antique or classic vehicle is not necessary for membership.

A Little Bit About the National Organization

The ACCCC is organized as 13 regional clubs located throughout Ontario operating under the stewardship of a national executive and board of directors.  National and Regional events take place throughout the year.  National events include the Tour to Yesteryear (a week-long tour) and an Annual General Meeting in the Fall. National also publishes "The Reflector" three times per year. Regions organize garage tours, day and weekend driving tours, picnics, cruises, car shows, flea markets and winter indoor gatherings.   Each region publishes its own newsletter.    A membership roster, updated annually is free to club members..  The ACCCC is a member of the Specialty Vehicle Association of Ontario.

Meet Bluewater Region Car Club

A Little bit of History about our Region

It was 1966, Beatlemania was still everywhere and a group of antique auto enthusiasts in the Owen Sound area decided that perhaps there was enough enthusiasm to form the Bluewater Region of the ACCCC.

Word spread across the Grey and Bruce Counties and interest started to grow!  Perhaps some of the appeal was that the club catered to family events rather than being a man's club.......this still holds true today.

We are proud to be part of such a fine organization as ACCCC and will continue to contribute meaningfully to future club endeavours.

The Bluewater Region is a club built on friendship and our cars are the glue that holds us together. As we say, "Come for the cars, stay for the friendship." For a complete history of our Club go to the "History" tab at the top.
